Lets’ start of this year by accepting that social media has evolved our lives and continues to do so. We need to remember that social media is not a set and forget process; rather it is something that needs to be focused on and nurtured to create a long term presence for your brand. Enter: Stories.
2012 will be all about stories. It is these stories that will not only capture but retain your users. Thinking digital and thinking creative is not enough until and unless you have content that will tell your story in a way that captures and entices the user.
Stories online are not stagnant but continue to evolve. What is your digital strategy this month, can be very different from your digital strategy 6 month’s down the line. Great content is what gets your business noticed and talked about. It’s what makes it go viral.
Syncing social media and digital presence together, thereby creating an integrated approach is what makes your stories shine through the clutter. But this is not enough your stories need to offer news worthy, enticing and sticky content that users would want to share and tell their friends.
Many brands have created many successful stories and hence have generated immense word of mouth as well. Communities of users today take their voices online and it is these users we need to tell our stories to.
2012 is the year of stories. Stories will be what make a brand stand out and make users take notice. Stories will capture audience attention and define the brand in a new way to the users. New brands, small brands, big brands won’t matter. Rather only those brands that know how to tell their stories will be the ones that generate the most hype and that create the most word of mouth. Integrating mediums effectively and giving users content that is genuine is what will make your story stand out!
